Those holding a Master Esthetician license can perform advanced clinical procedures, including chemical exfoliation, dermaplaning, and non-invasive cosmetic device treatments as defined by the Utah Division of Professional Licensing (DOPL)

  • Utah requires 1,200 total training hours to qualify for a Master Esthetician license, making it one of the most comprehensive programs in the country. If you already completed a basic esthetics course or hold a cosmetology license, you can apply your previous training toward this requirement. We welcome transfer students with partial hours to complete their advanced curriculum at our academy.

  • Nope! No experience is required. Our esthetics training program is designed for beginners.

    If the applicant is under 18, they must have successfully completed high school or its equivalent as evidenced by any of the items on the following non-exhaustive list: copy of a diploma, copy of GED certificate, copy of a transcript showing high school completion, or a certificate of attainment. Applicants may also be admitted if holding a state-issued credential for secondary school completion if the student was home-schooled.

  • Yes! The Skin Institute accepts students with completed 600-hour basic programs or a current cosmetology license. Contact our team to check start dates and finish your Master Esthetician training.
